Tweede huwelijk van Jacob Wit Nieuwe Niedorp 30 september 1925 met Bertha van Velsen, geb. Nieuwe Niedorp 9 juli 1883, ov. Hoorn 30 september 1961, dochter van Klaas van Velsen en Aaltje Kok.
Kinderen geen.

Jacob Wit was zoals zijn gehele voorgeslacht niet katholiek. Zijn vrouw Grietje, was dat wel en Jacob vond het goed dat de kinderen R.K. werden opgevoed en daarmee was voor hem het probleem de wereld uit.
Toen zijn vrouw overleed, kocht Jacob op de begraafplaats in 't Veld een graf.
Hij hertrouwde met een zuster van zijn vrouw, Bertha, en toen hij in 1949 overleed dachten de kinderen hem in het graf bij zijn eerste vrouw te begraven.
Dit kon echter niet de goedkeuring van de pastoor krijgen, want hij was niet katholiek en moest toen in ongewijde aarde worden begraven.
Dit geschiedde op het uiterste puntje van het kerkhof.
